Diagnostic Unit

Laboratory
Intricately interconnected with all other departments, the Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory of NDMC is at the fundamental core of the Center in its patient-centric, computerized, multidisciplinary approach for diagnostic, therapeutic, and scientific activities. A unique and unmatched set of state-of-the-art equipment based on cutting-edge technologies allows for high throughput performance in executing a wide range of tests required for diagnosis, on-treatment monitoring, and prognostic evaluation of disease outcomes.
The Laboratory has, in particular, an automated modular clinical chemistry and immunochemistry testing system (COBAS 6000), Immunological analyzer ( Cobas E411), Microbiological analyzer based on matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (VITEK & MYLA CONFIG), real-time PCR analyzers (QuantStudio ™5, BioRad, DNA technology), ELISA Microplate photometers (Elisys Duo), flow cytometers (Attune ™ Nx, Beckman Coulter Navios EX ), NGS and capillary sequencers (Ion GeneStudio Prime/Ion Chef - Next Generation Sequencing, 3500 ABI Genetic Analyzer), genetic microarray system (Affymetrix GeneChip 3000), and high throughput automated DNA/RNA extractors (Thermo Fisher Scientific AutoMate Express), FISH scanning microscopy system for cytogenetics (Leica karyotyping & FISH Capture station with Jai MV4), inverted microscopic cell visualization system imaging (EVOS M5000), coagulometer ( Rayto RAC -050), platelet aggregation analyzer (Chrono - LOG 490).
Altogether the instrumental equipment is allowing to carry out more than 100 kinds of tests. The Laboratory's throughput capacity can be up to 950 patients or up to 9 thousand analyzes per day. The Laboratory has an integrated Scientific Research department working with the goals to achieve, maintain and improve the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of the issued test results, be in compliance with the requirements of international standards; such as impartiality, confidentiality, and to promote the development of scientific and educational activities of the Center.
The specialists that work in the Laboratory received training and experience in leading laboratories in Uzbekistan, Korea, the United States, and Japan.

Radiology
The Department of Radiology aims to carry qualitatively and accurately diagnosing various pathological conditions using state-of-the-art technologies.
Highly qualified staff execute a wide range of diagnostic examinations using medical instruments manufactured by the recognized world leaders in medical equipment (GE Healthcare: MRI 3.0 T, MSCT-256) and ultrasound expert class devices.
MRI 3.0 Tesla allows to diagnose with high accuracy the volumetric formations of the nervous system (tumors, cysts, developmental anomalies, etc.) and carry out dynamic observation during treatment. Unique protocols and modes of the equipment allow the doctor to determine the pathological process and help in difficult situations more accurately.

Nuclear Medicine
The Department of Nuclear Medicine is equipped with modern equipment (PET CT with a cyclotron, a gamma camera), which allows high-tech studies to confirm the diagnosis of oncological pathologies, identify local and distant foci of metastasis, and assess the effectiveness of chemotherapy.
The low radiation dose of the equipment allows its use in pediatrics safely.
